Surprise Birthday Staycation: The South Beach, Singapore

The South Beach has far exceeded from my expectations. An exquisite stylish hotel designed by Philippe Starck, we were usher by friendly staff to the lobby to check-in.


The interesting exotic wooden cabinet behind the desk caught my attention.

We were inform that the "Showcase Her" room is available and asked if we would want an upgrade. It is a ladies level specially for women with special amenities e.g. facial steamer, hair straightener, boyfriend shirt, craft kit, pink bathrobe. So being a typical kiasu Singaporean, we decided to be adventurous and agreed to upgrade.

Located at 5th floor, there is a secured entrance door where you will need to tap the access card before entering.

INSIDE THE ROOM




Nice flooring carpet, clean bathroom with a huge bathtub, cool toilet bowl that detects motion, comfy soft towel, Davines bath products. What surprises us? A complimentary cute little doggy plush toy, complimentary cute comfy bathroom slippers, pink wardrobes, manicure set, and everything on the bar were FREE! I think I almost went "crazy" wanting to take everything home including the pink radio on the desk :p

THE INFINITY POOL


Infinity pool located at 18th floor with a 360-city-view. Other than gym facilities, guests can find pool table and ping pong table if anyone is in the mood for a game.


We were surprised to receive the complimentary birthday cake in quite a big piece and it was really delicious!

Among all the staycations we had, The South Beach has got to be our first choice as of now.
